These subject areas attract high numbers of international students at UK universities. LSOE provides free admissions support for all of them.
LSOE supports students from over 15 countries. Here is what applicants from the most common source countries typically need for a UK university application.
Nigerian students are one of the largest international groups at UK universities. Foundation Year routes are popular for students who do not meet direct entry requirements.
Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad have VFS Global biometric centres. Priority visa processing typically takes 5 working days.
TB (tuberculosis) screening is mandatory for Bangladeshi applicants. Results take 5–10 days and must be from an approved clinic.
India has UKVI visa application centres in multiple cities. Indian students with strong grades often apply directly to Year 1 without a Foundation Year.
Foundation Year programmes are a popular pathway for Ghanaian students. LSOE has guided many Ghanaian students into Coventry, Anglia Ruskin, and UEL.
Students from UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Egypt are well represented at UK universities. Business, Law, and Postgraduate courses are popular choices.
Common questions from international students applying to UK universities through LSOE.
Yes. LSOE manages the entire UK university application process remotely. You do not need to be in the UK to apply, receive offers, or confirm your place. We communicate with you via email, WhatsApp, and video call throughout the process.
Most UK universities require proof of English language ability. IELTS Academic is the most widely accepted test, with typical score requirements of 5.5–6.5 depending on the course. However, alternatives including TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic, and LanguageCert are accepted by many institutions. Some students qualify for an English language waiver if they have studied in English for 2+ years.
Requirements depend on your country and course level. For undergraduate study, you typically need the equivalent of 2–3 A-Levels (A-Level standard). Recognised qualifications include WASSCE (Nigeria/Ghana), HSC (Bangladesh), FSc/HSSC (Pakistan), Class 12 (India), and European Baccalaureate. LSOE assesses your specific qualifications and identifies the right entry point.
A Foundation Year is a preparatory programme that brings your academic level up to UK undergraduate standard. It is ideal if your home-country qualifications do not meet direct entry requirements, or if your English language score is slightly below the required level. Foundation Years are fully funded by Student Finance England for eligible students. LSOE assesses whether a Foundation Year is the best route for you.
From initial enquiry to receiving a university offer typically takes 2–6 weeks through LSOE. The Student Route visa process takes a further 3–8 weeks after your CAS is issued. You should begin the process at least 4–6 months before your intended course start date.
International students on a Student Route visa are permitted to work up to 20 hours per week during term time and full time during official university holidays. You cannot be self-employed or work as a professional sportsperson. The Graduate Route visa allows unrestricted work after graduation for 2 years (3 years for PhD graduates).
Yes. London School of Excellence is completely free for students. Our service is funded through partnerships with UK universities and colleges who pay us a commission when a student enrolls. There are no hidden fees, no registration costs, and no charges at any stage of the admissions process.
